Ongoing Events

Meditation Group

The Meditation Group meets every Sunday evening at 5:00 pm. This group is open to all and requires no previous experience. The meeting consists of Qi Gong, Kai Gong, and sitting meditation. The form of Qi Gong taught is the spiritual practice intended to open the body with gentle movement and calm the mind. Kai Gong, a form of Buddhist Yoga, is very gentle movement to stretch the body.

MoonPool Coven

The MoonPool Coven was started over 10 years ago by a group of friends looking to explore their spirituality together. Our mission is very similar to that of the UUCH, "To assist each member in their spiritual growth". Our members follow many different Earth-Based traditions and our rituals reflect this diversity.

Our twice monthly Open Circles have expanded to include classes in MoonPool’s tradition of being a teaching coven. Classes begin at 6 PM with the Circle starting at 7:30 PM, usually on Sunday evenings.

Traditional Pagan Holidays are observed including Yule (Winter Solstice), Imbolc (Ground Hog day), Ostara (Easter) Lughnasadh (First Harvest) and Samhain (Halloween). Our services hearken back to an earlier time, when people were more in tune with the Earth and her changing cycles. Our beliefs reflect natural laws that existed long before formalized religions.

Among the many community events we participate in are events sponsored by other local covens, Pagan Pride Day in both Ma and NH, and Community Meals, not to mention our Annual Witches Ball. We look forward to even more participation as we go forward and we welcome everyone to our events.

Community Meals

Community Meals are served at 4:00 pm on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month in our state of art kitchen and dining room facility. This project grew out of UUCH commitment to social justice through the work of the Hunger Roundtable. The Roundtable joins the food services throughout the community in a concerted effort to feed the hungry. The UUCH community Meals is in cooperation with Calvary Baptist Church, providing a meal on Saturdays to the hungry in Haverhill.

AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm in our downstairs dining room.
