Goals and Curricula

We see our Religious Education Program as a ministry to our children and youth. Our purpose in RE is to offer our young people a safe and nurturing spiritual home.

We provide classroom lessons, activities and worship services intentionally arranged to inspire young minds, provide knowledge and encourage exploration.

Our core curricula integrates these five pillar themes into instruction:

UU Identity and History
Our Judeo-Christian Heritage
World Religions
Living in the Interdependent Web of Existence
Peace and Justice

We invite our children to experience themselves as spiritual beings and encourage them to seek their personal truths.
Our program celebrates the natural world and honors the mystical.
We acknowledge lessons learned from science and our collective histories.
We embrace mystery and are respectful of other faiths and belief systems.
We acknowledge our role as citizens; we participate in community service and advocate for those in need.
